Kevin James Daken

Associate Attorney
Stamford, Connecticut

Kevin J. Daken represents clients in all facets of family law, including divorce and legal separation, alimony and child support, property distribution, child custody and access, various post-judgment disputes and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. Kevin aspires to deliver cost-effective, favorable and fair results to his clients using common sense and an attention to detail. Kevin firmly believes that family and matrimonial attorneys are counselors as much as they are advocates, and he always aims to serve his clients with compassion, patience and pragmatic advice. Prior to beginning his career as a family attorney, Kevin served as a clerk for the Superior Court of the Judicial District of New Haven at Meriden. As a clerk, Kevin gained unique insight into the judicial process as well as exposure to a wide range of civil and family matters.

Kevin earned his law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law. While at Quinnipiac, Kevin participated in the Civil Legal Clinic. In connection with his work at the clinic, Kevin was the recipient of the James R. DeFonce ’80 Memorial Endowed Scholarship for his advocacy on behalf of disabled clients. Kevin was also awarded an Award for Excellence in Clinical Work. Kevin received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in History from Illinois Wesleyan University.

Kevin is admitted to practice in Connecticut and is a member of the Fairfield County, Connecticut and American Bar Associations. Kevin also currently serves as a Co-Chairman of the Family Section of the Fairfield County Bar Association and is a member of the Collaborative Divorce Attorneys of Fairfield County. He relocated to Connecticut from Illinois in 2006, and now resides in Orange with his wife and two daughters.
